My husband and I just stayed overnight at the Western House
Hotel in a room (Aintree) in the main house. We had a well equipped
large room, comfortable queen bed, separate toilet and bathroom
(made for very pleasant relaxing in bath) very comfortable separate
seating area and view over the Racecourse. To sum up the hotel had
the grace and charm of a bygone era and this, combined with
welcoming and helpful staff, who appeared to be happy with the job
they were doing (often not the case in hotels) and good food is a
winning combination. Have added this hotel to my list of "treats"
for the future.
