Can we hold our wedding ceremony at Western House Hotel or at Ayr Racecourse?

We would be delighted to host your wedding ceremony within Western House Hotel or, weather permitting, within our substantial grounds. If you’re looking for something a little different, it’s possible to take your vows in the Paddock or Winners Enclosure at Ayr Racecourse.

Is there a fee to have our wedding ceremony at the hotel?

If holding a civil or religious ceremony with us, there is a £700 fee in addition to your reception.

Is it possible to have our evening reception at the hotel or racecourse?

For receptions held in the evening, Western House Hotel is available from Monday to Thursday . The Princess Royal Events Centre and Paddock Lawn Marquee at Ayr Racecourse are available at weekends.

Is there a separate cost to hire the Cathedral Ballroom for the reception?

There is no additional charge to hold your reception within the Cathedral Ballroom.

Do we organise the ceremony and arrange a celebrant?

You are required to source your own registrar, minister or priest who should also be able to help organise the ceremony.

Is a dressing room available for the bridal party?

The Bridal Suite, with an exclusive dressing area, is available at approximately 12.30pm on the day of your wedding. You may choose to have hair and make-up done offsite or book a separate room for the night before and awaken to a more relaxed morning with dedicated hair and make-up space.

Are you able to provide music for the ceremony?

As choice of music is extremely personal we would advise you to provide a playlist to ensure the perfect personalised soundtrack on the day.

Is a deposit required for a provisional booking?

We require a £500 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. At this time a signed contract will also be required to secure your wedding date.

When is the outstanding balance required?

50% of your estimated cost is payable three months in advance of the wedding with the remaining balance required two weeks before the ceremony.

Are you able to help with flowers, cake, photography or cars?

From wedding video to evening entertainment, we would be delighted to put you in touch with some of our most trusted suppliers.
